HB 174, relating to adoption of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, filed 11/12/2008

HB 174, authored by Representative Susan King, amends the Texas Education Code and authorizes adoption of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children which defines criteria for transfer of children of active military personnel between educational institutions and minimizes the disruption experienced by frequent moves between military assignments. Companion to SB 90 introduced by Van de Putte et al.
