HB 188, relating to the rights of children and the education of parents regarding their duties as parents, filed 11/12/2008

HB 188, authored by Representative Alonzo, amends the Texas Family Code to add a Children's Bill of Rights and implement a statewide public awareness campaign about children's rights. In addition, the bill amends the Texas Education Code and authorizes junior college districts to develop a family education center and appropriate curriculum addressing issues related to family health and stability.
