HB 41, relating to the creation of a public education voucher program for certain children, filed 11/10/2008

HB 41, authored by Representative Corte amends the Texas Education Code to authorize the creation of a pilot program public school voucher system for educationally disadvantaged students, the largest districts in the state, pre K, K, 1st grade students. Establishes specific criteria for testing and residency, school accreditation, enrollment/exclusion criteria, tuition and fees and evaluation of the program.
